Your practice is yours.
Here's exactly what we collect, where it lives, who else touches it, and how you delete any of it.
Effective April 21, 2026
InstantInterviewer is operated by FTP Travel LLC ("we," "us"). This policy covers what we do with information you give us when you sign up, run a practice session, or email us. We wrote this in plain language on purpose — if anything here is unclear, email support@instantinterviewer.com and we'll clarify.
1. What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
- Account data. Name, email, hashed password (we never see or store your plaintext password — it's bcrypt-hashed before it hits our database), and any billing details you provide when you start a subscription (processed by Stripe; we never see your full card number).
- Practice data. If you upload a resume, we store the file plus a structured summary extracted from it. When you run a voice session we store the audio transcript, per-question feedback, scores, and session metadata (duration, role, target company). Optional session audio recordings are stored on Cloudflare R2 if you leave that setting on.
- Usage data. Basic server logs (IP, user agent, page visited, timestamp) for 30 days, used to debug errors and prevent abuse. We do not run behavioral ad trackers.
2. Where it's stored
- Neon (Postgres). Account records, session transcripts, feedback, and subscription state. Encrypted at rest by Neon.
- Cloudflare R2. Uploaded resumes and optional audio recordings. Encrypted at rest.
- Vercel & Railway. Application servers that run the site and the voice agent. TLS in transit.
All traffic between your browser, our servers, and our providers runs over HTTPS.
3. Third parties who process your data
To deliver the product we pass specific data to the following vendors, each under their own privacy terms:
- LiveKit — real-time audio transport during a session. Your voice stream passes through LiveKit in transit; they do not persist it.
- Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription of your voice during a session.
- ElevenLabs — text-to-speech for the interviewer's voice (our prompts out, not your voice in).
- OpenRouter / Anthropic (Claude) — generates the interviewer's questions and your feedback. We send the session transcript and your resume summary as model input; we do not use your data to train any model, and our providers' enterprise terms prohibit them from doing so.
- Stripe — payment processing. They receive your billing details directly; we receive a customer token.
- Resend — transactional and product email (welcome, feedback-ready, countdown).
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not run it through analytics vendors that build cross-site profiles.
4. How long we keep it
- Session transcripts & feedback: 90 days by default. You can change this in settings or request earlier deletion.
- Audio recordings: 30 days by default if you opted in; never stored if you didn't.
- Resumes: until you delete the file or your account.
- Account & billing records: until you delete your account, then up to 7 years where required for tax or accounting law (we retain the minimum needed).
- Server logs: 30 days.
5. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Export your transcripts, feedback, and profile data as JSON — email support@instantinterviewer.com and we'll send it within 14 days.
- Delete individual sessions from your dashboard.
- Delete your entire account, which purges all session data, transcripts, resumes, and recordings within 30 days of the request. Billing records kept only where required by law, as above.
- Correct inaccurate information by editing your profile or emailing support.
- Object to any particular processing — if you don't want transcripts stored at all, tell us and we'll disable it on your account (feedback quality will degrade as a result).
If you're in the EU / UK / California / any other jurisdiction with data-subject rights, you have them here regardless of where we're incorporated. The operator of record is FTP Travel LLC.
6. Cookies & local storage
We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in, and local storage to remember UI preferences like voice selection. No advertising cookies. No cross-site trackers.
7. Children
InstantInterviewer is not intended for users under 16. If you believe we have collected data from someone under 16, email support and we'll delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change anything material — a new subprocessor, a longer retention window — we'll email registered users at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The current version always lives at this URL with the effective date above.
9. Contact
Data questions, deletion requests, or anything else: support@instantinterviewer.com.
